Bringing Store Operations Into One App
Swig IQ brings real time performance data, team management, communication, and daily store operations into one mobile first experience built for managers and employees.
The Challenge
Swig store teams were relying on spreadsheets and multiple disconnected tools to manage performance, inventory, communication, and everyday operations. Important information was scattered across different systems, creating extra work for managers and employees.
My Role
I served as lead designer for Swig IQ, working closely with the client to design the complete mobile and tablet experience. I established the visual direction and style guide while translating operational requirements into simple, practical workflows designed for busy store environments.
Making Store Performance Easy to Understand
Store managers needed to quickly understand how their location was performing without digging through spreadsheets or reports. Swig IQ brought key metrics such as sales, labor, line speed, attachments, tips, and other store goals together in one dashboard with clear comparisons and performance indicators.
Supporting Managers and Their Teams
Swig IQ brings employee performance, coaching, shift history, raises, and one on one conversations into the same experience managers already use to run the store. Team information stays accessible without requiring managers to move between separate systems.
Keeping Store Teams Connected
Swig IQ was designed to support more than store reporting. Built in communication gave employees, store managers, district managers, and corporate teams a shared place to connect without relying on another external tool. Leaderboards and competitions added another layer of engagement, giving employees visibility into performance and creating friendly incentives around store and individual goals.
Outcome
Swig IQ consolidated store operations, performance tracking, employee management, communication, and daily tasks into one shared experience.
The initial rollout reached more than 60 Utah locations before expanding nationwide. Managers responded positively to replacing several disconnected tools with one app, while Chat, Leaderboards, and Competitions became especially popular with employees.
